Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Tradivo collects, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it. It is written for two readers: contractors who use the app, and their customers who open the estimate and invoice pages we host. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Who this covers
"Tradivo," "we," and "us" mean Tradivo, operator of tradivo.app and the Tradivo app. This policy covers people who create Tradivo accounts ("contractors"), the people whose information contractors enter as their customers ("customers"), and visitors to tradivo.app.
2. What we collect
From contractors
- Account: your name, email address, phone number, and a password we store only as a hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Company: business name, address, phone, email, website, trade, service area, license and insurance lines, and document defaults, as you enter them.
- Early access request: your name, email, phone, what you told us about your work, the country your request came from, and when it was approved.
- Your work: customers, properties and addresses, jobs, scope items and measurements, pricing templates, materials, estimates, bids, invoices, change orders, payments you record, inventory, schedule entries, notes, and messages, as you enter them.
- AI drafting: the job descriptions you type, the drafts returned, and a usage record for each request (tokens used, cost, outcome, and the job it became), so allowances and any future billing are accurate.
- Technical: device and browser type, IP address, and logs of requests to our servers, used for security and to fix problems.
From customers
- Entered by the contractor: name, phone, email, property addresses, notes, and the documents the contractor sends. Tradivo does not collect this from you directly; your contractor does.
- From document pages: when you open a link we host, we record that the link was viewed and, if you respond (approve, decline, request changes), your response, any note you type, and the time. This is the contractor's record of your decision.
- Payments: if you pay a card invoice, your card details go directly to Stripe. Tradivo never sees or stores your card number. We receive the payment amount, status, and a Stripe reference.
3. How we use it
- To run the Service: pricing jobs, building documents, hosting document pages, sending emails on the contractor's behalf, recording payments, and showing you your own data.
- To send emails you have asked for or that the Service requires: early access notices, approval, document delivery, receipts, and notices to a contractor when a customer responds.
- To generate AI drafts you request, and to meter that use.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To understand how the Service is used in aggregate so we can improve it.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use your content or your customers' information for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, each under terms that limit what they may do with it:
- Supabase hosts our database, authentication, file storage, and server functions.
- Cloudflare serves tradivo.app and the document pages, and protects them from abuse.
- Stripe processes card payments and, where a contractor has connected an account, payouts.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Anthropic provides the model behind AI drafting and receives the job descriptions and pricing settings needed to produce a draft. We do not send your customers' names or contact details for drafting.
- Google when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Supplier data providers receive the material search terms needed to look up retailer pricing, never personal information.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of Tradivo, our users, or the public, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply until it is changed with notice.
5. If you are a contractor's customer
Your contractor entered your information into Tradivo to prepare and send you documents. In privacy terms the contractor decides why and how your information is used, and Tradivo processes it on their behalf. Questions about your information, requests to correct or delete it, and questions about the work itself should go to your contractor; their contact details are on every document. You can also write to us at hello@tradivo.app and we will help route your request.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and Company data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your login is removed immediately and, if you are the last member of your Company, the Company's customers, jobs, documents, and records are deleted with it. Backups roll off within about thirty days. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security. We may keep records we are legally required to keep, such as payment records, for the required period.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every record in Tradivo is scoped to the Company it belongs to and enforced at the database level, so one Company cannot read another's data. Document links carry a random token that is stored only as a hash and expires. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Your choices and rights
- See and change your data: most of it is editable in the app. Ask us for anything you cannot reach.
- Delete your account: from the More tab in the app, or by emailing us. See section 6 for what deletion removes.
- Export: email us and we will provide your Company's data in a common format.
- Emails: emails from Tradivo are transactional (documents, receipts, notices). We do not send marketing email to contractors' customers.
- Google sign-in: you can revoke Tradivo's access in your Google account settings.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, such as access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection. Write to hello@tradivo.app and we will respond within the time the law allows. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their rights.
9. Cookies and analytics
The app uses local storage and cookies only to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Document pages set no tracking cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
10. Children
Tradivo is a business tool and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Where data is stored
Tradivo is operated from the United States and our providers store data in the United States. If you use Tradivo from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
Each version is dated at the top of this page. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect.
13. Contact
